Third, Fourth and Fifth Classes visit Kilmagig Graveyard.
Written By Kathy Van Eesback
The three classes took advantage of the excellent weather to engage in some outside learning. They visited Kilmagig Graveyard. The children spent time looking at the old inscriptions on the headstones. They learned the names of families who had lived in the area in the past. The classes were very busy collecting pieces of local history in addition to taking some stone rubbings to look at and work with during Art Lessons. The children enjoyed learning about historical places in their local area. They also loved being out in the open air and having access to the amazing views from this vantage point.
