Sixth Class Cool Dudes Cookery Course

Cool Dudes Cookery Programme. 
This programme is a community-based nutrition course delivered by Co. Wicklow Partnership in conjunction with the HSE to primary schools in the area. We are lucky to have been chosen for this programme. Our sixth class, in addition to our Friday Social Group, are taking part in this course. It covers Hygiene and Food Safety, Healthy Food choices, the preparation and cooking of staple every day dishes suitable for light lunches/dinners. The two tutors of this programme come in on Fridays and will guide the children through the ‘ hands-on preparation and cooking of these dishes.  The first week the children enjoyed making the fruit salad and smoothies. Last week the children made two varieties of soup and some lovely scones.
